Mike graduated with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy in 2016 from the University of Alberta. He also holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of Calgary. Mike is very passionate about continuing education and believes that by having more knowledge and technical skills he can help a wider range of people and conditions. He has received several certifications in Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy and is able to perform IMS on most muscles of the human body. Mike is very systematic and objective with his treatments. If something is not working for his patients, he has a lot of other tools available that may work. Through his patients’ response to treatment, Mike finds the perfect “recipe” for each individual.
Mike takes a special interest in treating low back pain and lower extremity problems. Mike also loves treating runners and he was inspired to become a physiotherapist from his own experiences as an ultramarathon runner. On his own time Mike loves trail running, especially in the mountains. If you’re interested in learning more about Mike, he actually has his own website available at https://mdkphysio.com.
